He also says that he hopes to do well in the worlds tt but doesn't expect to perform in the road race and will ride for his teammates if he starts.

Riding for teammates = save their asses and win, when the others fail

I think he has a point. Only one other has to reach him after the climb and he's done.

When they're training together 9 times out of 10 it's Jesus.

Erm, he did quite a long pull for his teammates at Beijing.

I seem to remember him doing a little work and then getting dropped long before the final? May well be wrong.

He pulled at the front, got dropped, then came back all of a sudden and pulled for another long time. He was gone by the time the final started, but he did his work by then. I rewatched it recently, so it's still fresh in my memory.

It's the only time I saw Contador doing some actual domestique work since his big breakthrough actually. Unless LBL 2010 maybe, where he helped Vino win indirectly.

Thanks, I figured it was Hernandez since that's his usual training buddy but I wasn't certain.:)

Just remember that Jesus is the one with the curly hair and the cute babyface.

It would be nice to see him clean up these races, I'm particularly excited the one day races here. It's nice when a Tour champion has a real go at one day races.

Rescheduling is not an option unfortunately. I always plan my trip after the Tour, and luckily it ends just before the Vuelta.
