It's actually easy to search for Brammeier in all posts by the user El Pistolero.

So joke's on you.

I've been a fan ever since last year, but you don't have to believe me, I could care less lol. Though I still remember what he tweeted on that beautiful day of the Clasica San Sebastian. I was very glad he found a contract indeed.

So, I guess I also like Leipheimer just cause he rides for QS, otherwise your theory doesn't hold up you know ;)

Yeah, I am sure you couldn't care less by writing that I should shut up.

As for your your second paragraph, your logic doesn't hold up. But I'll let you figure out why on your own.

Actually you said 11.45 so you are a bit closer... :p

What I do find weird is that Merckx first was all "I hope he's innocent but I think I can no longer trust him" and now he's all "It's fvcking unfair blablabla."

lol. Most of you, Contador's fans, like bashing Andy for any reason, just like an essential atribute of rooting for him. But now you're surprised that, unlike you, someone doesn't make a tragedy out of his ban.

i assume most bashing of andy has nothing to do with contador, but rather the arrogant short minded chump that he is :)

I can imagine that hes bashed for not really winning Stage races, but saying he doesnt attack or just shortly that just happened during the 2011 Tour, it was his mistake and I'm sure he recognized.

I mean you saw him attack often in 2010 Tour, Avoriaz - Madeleine - Tourmalet - Pokering at Ax-3-Domaines, I'm sure the only thing you could properly bash Andy for is just caring about the Tour ever since he rode that Giro in 2007 and the Tour in 2008.

Exactly.

Most andy-bashers consist of people who dislike his disrespect for most races he shows up for. Using everything as training not even trying to race once. Only in the april classics and maybe 1 or 2 stages of Tour de Suisse Andy shows his face before july. All other races are totally unimportant to him and he doesn't shy away from finishing in the grupetto each and every stage.
What kind of champion does that? Seriously, at least show yourself once or twice, it doesn't hurt when you try a little.

he ay have won the tour by default., but I truly hope he never gets to stand on the top step in paris.

Thats where I disagree, if he has ridden for it and fought for the victory, rode offensively with well timed and strong attacks. Why wouldn't he deserve victory? Cause he spouts nonsense during interviews? Cause he failed to deliver, didnt want to deliver at the Tour de Suisse?

Not wanting to ever see someone rise above himself, or do what hes supposed to is, in my opinion - probably heavily vs the forums' :p - a bit harsh.

I think Cadel Evans deserved victory in the 2011 Tour de France, because he rode his guts out and was the best rider over that three weeks. That doesn't mean I wanted him to win, but I have to accept that he rode like a champion, and congratulate him on his victory.

I think TLR knows enough about the sport to be able to accept Andy as a champion should he win a Tour (in such a way as to be able to stand on the top step in Paris as specified), but simply wishes to see a different outcome if possible.

I used to like Frank for those reasons.

Until he said he wasnt going to do Liege even this year, (or well brunyeel said it for him) and I read his comment that he still wishes (4 years later) that anyone else would have won the TDF such is his hatred for Sastre for the crime of not being a slave for the Schlecks.

Maybe Paris Nice will give us an insight as to whether Andy's attitude has changed. He will be riding for Klodi but maybe we will see something there to give some hope that he is finally taking a whole season seriously. A storming ride up Eze would be a start;)

Yes. As much as I am a fan of both Schlecks, I loved Carlos and find these statements by them on him hard to take.

Well Frank was fine with me until he and his brother continued their aging of a particular vintage of whining about Sastre stealing the Tour from Frank in 2008, as if Frank actually had a chance of winning the Tour that year, wearing the yellow jersey at the start of the pivotal Alpe d'Huez stage or not. I'm sure there are other quotes and statements that I'm forgetting that did it for me but that one in particular stands out. I do respect him much more than Andy though, for the same reason that you state.

yes. And I am the same, evans rode his heart out and earnt that victory. No one can deny that he was a worthy champ at the end of the tour.

I really didn't want him to win tho, nor did I want evans to win. But if he rides like a champ and wins, I can't deny him that.

I thought he rode well in 2010. I still dislike him tho.

But...

Strange, I skipped from post #70 to about #160 and suddenly discovered myself in a Schleck thread still called "...Return of the King" Uggh!

But back to Contador, and not to spread a wet blanket or anything (I'm a fairly keen but quiet Contador supporter too), but will ASO as part owner of the Vuelta even allow him to ride in it this year? ASO seemed pretty hard-nosed about welcoming justice (or whatever they called it) and they have set a precedent in the Tour of banning Astana for doping offences by riders not even in the squad anymore. So even worse, can Alberto get himself back on the Tour in 2013? (and if ASO wavers, will a certain Mr LA buy them up and drop the knife himself?)

Thanks for your explanations about bashing. :) I just try to concentrate on riders' sport qualities, because we'll never be able to estimate them personally really unbiased. As for Andy's goofing around, I think it is up of every rider separately how he should ride and how many races go for the win. They know it better. As far as I know, there are (were) many other all-rounders, who go one week races without having a goal to show a good result.

Sums up my feelings about Andy nicely.

You call it bashing, I call it constructive criticism.;)

Essentially he's the squeeky wheel and we're the grease. He gets so much media attention and apparently loves it, that the material is infinite. If he were a politician he would be a comedian's wet dream.

His contract is annulled now that he's banned. He's free to resign for whomever he wants.

Ps: these fines can be disputed. Vino didn't pay his fine for example.

NO it´s not annulled, and wouldn´t it be about time you had just a little foundation for all your predictions pisti, your comments in this thread is beginning to sound a little bit hysterical, get the facts straight first, it will save you a lot of grief, and maybe show a little bit more faith in the folks behind Saxo bank.
