All those fantasy novels youve been reading are not real history you know. Most kings become kings after the previous king passes away which in cycling terms would be retirement.

And its perfectly possible for someone to become king where there was none before. Or do you think there was a king of England for example 65 million years ago.

Geee, Hitch I'm just messing with you (and LaFlo), although he did by no means do what Lemonde did. Take on the King, dethrone him and beoame the new king!

And for your information I am somewhat of a history nerd, at least when it comes to the Second World War but I'm sure you rather focus on the ancient history for obvious reason... :D

(sorry for that one, no hard feeling I hope). :)

No he won't. If we're going that way Little Levi was the one who dethroned Alberto. But wait, before that there was Cadel... And before that Andy... And before that Luisle... So who is the king?

If Froomy beats Contador, I will call him Chris 'The Steak' Froome from now on. :)

Because the only thing that's really beaten Conty so far is a steak.

I guess we'll find out just how good Froome is when he goes head to head against Contador in Vuelta.

Contador will probably be riding into condition during the Vuelta given his lack of racing but I expect that as it goes on, we'll see some 2011 Giro like attacks.

Has anyone seen Froome launch an AC like attack? Can he climb out of the saddle like AC?

He could have but held back by the team. Anyway at this vuelta he will teach contador "the king " a lesson and will leave the spaniard crying like a baby.

What does could have mean? Give me an example of where he has. Anyone, even Cadel or Wiggins, can attack for a few hundred meters. Contador can do it for much longer and do it again and again and again.

If Froome does the Vuelta I can see him being Froomed by his Colombian mates :D

I'm not a Froome's fan, but no way Vuelta will be a good test to understand how good he really is.

There's nobody in today's cycling who can perform at top level for two consecutive GTs, not even the King.
If he can do that, his clinic topic will be a busy place.

Froome should grow a pair first.

This!!

It's all well and good *****ing at the front and upping the tempo at the end of the stage but it's a whole other game launching continuous sustained attacks. I don't believe his has the courage or the fortitude to do either.
Froome aint Contador :)

Haha, I'm more a Schleck fan than anything but nobody can deny Contador is amazingly good - he brings entertainment to races with his style and performance. I'll never have anything against riders who go out and attack over and over :D

The two Colombian will work for him.

Just like Froome worked for Wiggins last Vuelta :)

In all seriousness though; Uran, and especially Henao, are great talents. I certainly see Henao outperforming Wiggo and Froome in the coming years; but he's stil young and his best GT result is 9th in the Giro. He has to up his game by a lot if he wants to pull a Froome on Froome coming Vuelta.

Are both Colombians even racing the Vuelta btw?

Do you even know who Alberto is? Crying like a baby lol, for losing a race?

You mean to tell me he never cried even when he was a little baby?. Well, there is a first time for anything and if he does not cry his fangirls (how many of you are here?) here will cry

True but what was Froome's best GT result before pulling a Froome?

Plus Henao being one of the very few riders with a top10 in their first GT attempt ever.

Did I cry when he lost last year's Tour? No. I did cry when he got banned though, but that is something else.

Alberto would never cry because he loses a race. Lol.
