Agree about the race. Saluting Durbridge though - 2.20 to peloton, 1 lap to go. Bit sad that Sulzberger is likely to be caught. Really gutsy ride from a guy that has got so much bad luck in his career.Tuarts said:Everyone playing for second. Good for Durbridge but expected a race like the last couple of years

Agree with this - why not form some alliances? Asking some of my part-timer mates at GPM Wilson to take it up is a bit embarrassing frankly. But, that said, podium is all under 25. The future is bright: watch out Europe.auscyclefan94 said:Garmin's and Sky's tactics were hopeless today. They didn't even try to chase until it was all over. They were mostly individuals, too hard to get a cohesive chased organised. Someone like Hansen isn't going to sit on the front chasing for other guys to win.

Garmin had Von Hoff in finishing group
Sky had Sutton and Hayman.
The rest of the Europe pros were individuals - Lloyd, Hansen, McCarthy, Wurf.
So basically you're asking Hayman to sit on the front and Hansen and Wurf to join in working for a Sutton or Von Hoff win (ignoring the fact that GreenEdge had the best attackers and Matthews still there). Can you not see how difficult that would be to organise? If Haas and Porte got dropped they were obviously not strong enough to have an influence on the chase.
