MEERSMAN takes 1s from Sky

I thought that the general rule was that if there is less than 2 seconds between finishers, they are regarded as having been part of the same group. Have I dreamt that up entirely, or is it the rule in some races but not others, or is some rule being misapplied here?

Only for those with fanboyism skydium

Sky-fanboys like it dull. They liked the 2012 Tour after all.

Anyways, I liked this stage. And great win.

A thing about Bertie is that he needs to learn to stay behind his teammates. He often takes things on by himself. Seen the same on flat windy stages. He just needs to trust his mates and stay on their Wheel, and not flicker about alone.

What does it matter in the last 500m

btw Mickey Rogey only saxoboy with Alberto in the peloton, where are Roman and Nico?

Depends on the finish IIRC.

Its a general tendency . Has happened alot on flat stages when it gets a bit messy (and still far from the finish line)

There are not in the race. They are doing TdS. Jesus had a mechanical.

I thought one full second between two riders causes a one second gap

Talansky lost more than 6 minutes to the peloton
I wonder what happened to him?

New era of cycling.

JV might have to change his view on this new era business.

Garmin riders don't cut it.

You jump and celebrate with joy when Cav wins a sprint, but a solo victory is dull for you

I have a choice of multiple sports today, on 3 screens, and nothing happened to make me turn the sound on the cycling once.

The term solo victory is rather broad. There was no attack today - someone was given a big lead because they are not important, and held on to it very effectively. There were no moments of excitement.

Agreed. A sprint is much more exciting than a lone escapee who was never in trouble of getting caught.

If it had been a Sky rider up there instead of Veilleux, I have no doubt you'd have been cheering like mad.

The latter happens only rarely in WT races, so I think it's nice when it does.
