burning said:No techinical descents means Porte>>Quintana (He was descending like Basso and he was probably ordered to not take any risks)
yetiyeti said:Based your estimated speed, Veilleux would end up about 26 seconds ahead of Froome in GC - Froome 37.5 minutes vs 39 for Veilleux in the ITT. Veilleux's result in the Canadian TT championships isn't very impressive. Might the other results have been skewed by him taking the ITT as a "rest day" given that he was not a GC contender or a threat to win the ITT? He will certainly be giving it everything he has tomorrow.

Zam_Olyas said:Descending like basso is old, now its descending like wiggins.
Cimber said:Luckily we got all that in the 2nd one in the TourBut really would be weird if he was actually ordered not to go full gas when it was for the overall win (don't believe it one second).
burning said:The theory was he was ordered to ride cautiously on the descends to prevent any crashes in a prep race for them. He was going faster than Quintana on flat(iirc) but lost huge time on descends.
Zam, no one can descend worse than Wiggo (Even Andy and Basso are not close imo)

Anybody good at math?

Froome19 said:Came 2nd in BR TT recently, don't think he will manage a Top 3 here though.
Froome19 said:Those times don't really indicate anything much, with the opportunity of keeping the yellow jersey on his shoulders he will be riding like he has never done before. I guess the Canadian Nats TT is probably the best indication as that is the only one he would have given everything for.

2 minutes between riders in the top 20, so no chance of Porte catching Contador sadly.
Dazed and Confused said:Wasn't it Wiggo in last year's CdD who almost caught Evans in the long TT?
