Thanks, although it is not updating at the moment. Warbasse still on the start podium, according to the live timing.
No. He's through the intermediate. Eijssen is too, with the slowest time.

Ties in nicely with the talent development thread below. Two BMC talents are last and next to last in GC.

Yates thinks Porte will set a better time than Froome. Last year Richie was rather poor in the Dauphiné tt.

There are conflicting reports on Porte's current form. On the one hand he's admitted that he was ill in Tenerife but has managed to arrive in reasonable condition at the Dauphine. On the other hand, Froome, his training partner, says that Porte is in extremely good condition arriving at the Dauphine. We shall see.

11:00 - Chris Froome: "It’s fast and flat"

GC favorite Chris Froome has just completed his recognition of the course. "It’s fast, flat, and hopefully it’s going to be a good day for us", the Brit told letour.fr. "Richie [Porte] is going well. I’m feeling good, so hopefully it’s a day we can take some time from the other GC contenders. I don’t think we’ll be looking at victory with guys like Tony Martin but it depends if he’s sick or not." Froome has a maximum gear of 56x11 while Martin usually uses 58x11.

Great job letour website. More riders are shown as having finished than have gone through the second intermediate.

I voted for Purito, but I somehow missed the button and selected Tony Martin.:p

Anyway, this should be good training for Purito, and it would not surprised me if he has been using his reduced race program to train for ITTs. It will be interesting to see how he does.

Looking forward to see how well Laengen and EBH do. Laengen might go all out, and EBH said he needed training for the Norwegian ITT.

37 minutes would mean 52.7 kph, not impossible I'd say. i think around 37 minutes will be the fastest time

I think Pinotti could be 2nd best here and therefore might even win if Martin is well below par

not sure on pinotti not shown much after his bad luck in 2012.

Surprising to see a Japanese rider in second spot in the first split, especially with such an unusually western-sounding name.

I am less optimistic about that. But let's see what super Tony does in the next 15 minutes
