Ok, so nobody will be able to stop Froome in the Tour

Because he barely beat a clearly out of form Contador and took about 10 seconds on the likes of Moreno? Yes he's the strongest now, but this isn't exactly a world beating performance. If Contador is 100% at the tour this is far from a done deal.

Such a shame for Busche. I was cheering for him in the final - that's for sure.

Better than expected from Contador and Sky wasn't even that strong. Froome and Porte was mighty strong. The rest = meh...

He's by far the best time trialist and nobody can drop him uphill. So ye, nobody can stop him.

The thing is, froome did not try to put time into anyone. Or at least it did not look like it, he just did enough to deny contador the stage win. Alberto was fried in the end, froome looked a lot fresher.

Much better then what i was expecting from Contador to be honest.

I had to shut my stream down for the last 100 meters as i just couldn't handle the huge amount of joy from the "international" ES commentators.

Reminder: He's never won a 3-week race.

Neither had Wiggins last year. There's a lot of reasons to doubt Froome's so called superiority, but that really isn't one of them.

looks like post-ban contador has returned to what he naturally is. a very good climber and pretty average flat TTer

He's a dawg, he's shown the ability to crash into other riders uphill or even random people when starting a tt. I hope the it'll rain when they're heading to gap

And there will be Kreuziger, Roche and hopefully a healthy CAS. It's far from over.

Remember, Froome is probably much closer to top form now than Contador, who is suffering from allergies. It will be an epic duel in TDF :)

We saw Contador attack and he almost hang out with Froome. Did anyone expect that yesterday?

And he's clearly not near 100%, if anything this stage should give you some hope, not much but still...

Seeing Contador trying to hang on Froome shows me enough, his climbing in dauphine right now is better than it was in '10 and maybe also '09.
