... and let's not forget another lesson of today - Bjarne showing he's aware that only superior tactical magic can beat the skyborg train in the coming Tour

funny messages today but overreacting gallore too :p

too bad rogers had a bad day , we could have seen alberto easily following sky duo in my opinion. also chris should have learned something from peyragudes from christ sake
happy that de marchi finally got one, such a courageous rider, always in the breakaways

the finale was good, 3 last kms i guess lol

the speed wasn't that high, of course the conditions weren't exactly good

What an epic ride by De Marchi after being in the break yesterday. So glad the Sky duo didn't catch him. I spent all the last 3 kms standing up and shouting at the screen. Wonderful.

Sky not making friends in the peloton anyway (if they had any).

an pure brute strength. Racing by numbers = who still have left in the tank to sprint at 500m before the finish line. This is the 'new cycling' courtesy of sky

all the GC contender can simply hang to sky express. the question is .. see above :p

No your post just tells what we already new your a fan of anyone but Sky, what did Sky do wrong today then MR.

Has nothing to do with sky. Drop the victim role. It had been equally bad by any team in Sky's position. Ppl really should dig into the norms and unwritten rules in the peloton

Too bad his "tactics" were kind of **** though. Should have known he can't depend on Rogers. Much better to unleash the accountant and see what happens. When he fails at least he does it spectacularly instead of with a whimper.

Pls a lot og us has followed cycling since Contador was a kid or not even born. I am happy that the sport gets new form but before being to clever at least they should get informed about history and peloton norms etc

Even the americans (i.e Lance and USP) knew about the greed issue fx. They let breaks to, didnt try to eat the whole cake etc

Er, no. It's races like this where the other team members need to gather valuable points. Mick's points are worth more than Alberto's at this point. Pat's rules...

I don't know why I bother supporting him.

too true

why do I always support disappointing riders like Taaramae, Rolland, Gesink, Cobo, Rujano...... I really need to find better riders to support.

Fine if that's the goal, but they didn't even come close to "beating Sky" that way.

Beating Sky is secondary. The tour is the exception where the win for Alberto is a primary goal and airtime for the sponsors is key. Elsewhere the WT points system encourages playing the numbers until you have enough points to comfortably start taking risks.
