The more impressive Androni and Vini look like, the less Bardiani looks like.

National sponsors ofc have big interest to be Wildcard team on their national GT, and so Bardiani as a company has. I however dislike this more and more intensified attempts to blackmail organisers, "invite us or we leave the sport".

Aqua e Sapone and French co-sponsor Schuller have been examples.

Sooner or later, UCI will be forced to fix this issue legally. Why not handle it the way that organisers RCS, ASO and Unipublic have to offer four wildcards each, of which three go to a domestic PCT, and one to a foreign one?

(Next problem would be, what is "domestic" and "foreign"? Utensilnord, e.g., AFAIK, are registered in Ireland, though considered Italian. It´s a difficult issue.)

They showed themselves during the Giro del Trentino... Pirazzi, Locatelli especially. And they have Modolo as sprinter.

I´d have chosen Caja Rural, though not sure they went for a WC at all... But if, then Caja Rural.
They didn't, as far as I recall. Like Europcar.

OK, thanks.

Well, one team I´m sure they wanted to ride is NetApp. I suppose the decision will have been between NetApp and Bardiani. Both not convincing.

The chances for both, NetApp and Bardiani, to win a stage are quite low. Many TV minutes, ofc, in breaks, but not enough for a stage win, normally.

Modolo didn´t really improve after his San Remo 2010, Pirazzi has been oftenly visible last years, and some others are promising, but in all, not even close to Vini Fantini or Savio´s men.

I wish to be wrong, however, and to see a successful Giro for them.

hey, they are not close to Vini Fantini or Androni, but they do are an acceptable team. Better than some WT lineup for sure...

Hello, I don't know if this has been posted yet:

Radioshack Leopard Trek team for Giro:

BENNETT George
HONDO Danilo
KISERLOVSKI Robert
MACHADO Tiago
NIZZOLO Giacomo
OLIVEIRA Nelson
POPOVYCH Yaroslav
ROULSTON Hayden
SERGENT Jesse

http://www.cyclismactu.net/news-tour-d-italie-la-radioshack-autour-de-kiserlovski-32291.html

Not very strong support for Kiserlovski in the mountain IMO. One GT newbie with Bennett who is a wild card and AFAIK cannot perform under 15 degrees Celsius because he weighs about 30 kg (or at least looks like it). Plus Machado... I thought Rohregger would be in there, but I think he would not be a big help either.

Popovych, Roulston... don't really get why they are in there  One of them maybe yes but this seems a bit overkill to me. But looks like Popovych is out of the TdF team!

Hopefully Nizzolo can score a win, I will root for him.
