Nibali was very strong that year could have probably won it himself that year if basso had ridden for him.

Scarponi was stronger in the mountains that year. But Nibalis 3 minute head start may have been enough to see him scrape it.

Though having said that, if Basso wasnt there Arroyo might could have held on.

Cobo, Intxausti, Capecchi, Dowsett, Lastras, Karpets, Ventoso, Visconti y José Herrada

Karpets' head is three times the size of Intxausti's.

Isn't Brajkovic their supposed Tour leader?

No it is supposed to be Fuglsang. But doesnt really matter. Both Fuglsang and Brajkovic are vastly overrated.

Brajkovic has a top 10 placing to go on. Fuglsang.. I don't get it.

Well Brajko was supposed to ride the Giro. So with Nibali not doing the TDF, Brajko not doing the TDF (or not fresh), Fuglsang was going to be the leader. But no idea why Brajko all of a sudden is not in the squad for the Giro anymore.

Brajkovic's been ill for over a week now, he wouldn't add any value to the Giro team.

he already said in slovenian media a couple of months ago that he did not want to do the giro in support of Nibali because he did not want to sacrifice his own chances for the Tour de France - but the team still wanted to line him up for it. So, now he is "sick", I think everone can make his own conclusion...

Ah Arroyo comes back to mind from that crazy break they let get away, nearly hung on.

I guess he has it in his contract that he's guaranteed a TDF spot then. It could still backfire on him, though, with Vino in charge. :D
