He also will have to face Gesink and Basso, whilst Scarponi should also ride.

I think he planned to ride LBL:D.

The only face he'll give Basso is the cheek from his shorts...he is history.

Trentino, Liege, Romandie as per Procyclingstats.com.

Ok, didn't think he was doing Romandie. Probably a good move (not sure about the Ardennes detour though).

Meh. There are 2 reasons why he's riding the giro

Froome and Contador. That simple ;)
I think the former is enough.

Anyway he raced the 2003 Giro  I didn't know that

The pro way to make that post is with a snide comment about the unforgettable potential he displayed at that early stage...

I hope to see one thing this giro: Cancellara putting 3 min into Wiggins on the long ITT

Wishful thinking to the max... He probably won't even ride the Giro to that point, he just wants the leader's jersey for his collection.

The ITT is on stage 8. Ofc he will ride it.

I expect him to drop out on the first rest day, after stage 13 or on the second rest day.

The motor under that chainsprocket would need to be like 150cc

I am starting to think that Gesink, Basso and Scarponi are all history but I would rate Scarponi the best of the three at the moment but not by much. Probably also include Menchov and Evans needs to show his fans at some stage this season that he does not belong in that group either.

I think Evans should concentrate on the Giro. He won the tour already, why not win the Giro now? He can match wiggin in TT or at least lost little time and if he is fit like 2011 TDF, he can hang with wiggin in the mountain. Let TGV handle the TDF. TDF this year is tough and the opponent is tougher that before.

With his slow start to the season and with the Giro starting in a little over a month, Evans won't ride the Giro and he has always been obsessed with the Tour after narrowly losing twice and then winning and thinking he can win again. In current form Wiggins would slaughter Cadel in the TT. I think he should keep preparing for the Tour and if the form is not there still, ride for TJVG and then go on to the Vuelta which he rode before winning the World's in 2009. Or miss the Tour altogether, ride other races and then the Vuelta. If he can't assist TJVG he is wasting his time. I guess we will know by June whether Evans will be competitive or not. BMC's squad looks very light for the Tour's mountainous stages so I don't expect TJVG to get much help if Evans is still out of sorts. BMC will have to buy some climbers next year to help TJVG in the future. Best he can do is hop on the Saxo/Sky train in the Tour and try and hang on !

I know that Radioshack are sending Machado to the Giro. Any talk of them sending any other riders for GC like Kloden or Horner? Andy will obviously ride the Tour and I have no idea what Frank's status is. Also gather that Zubeldia will ride in France given his 6th place last year.

iirc they are sending machado and kiserlovski as GC men, cancellara will be in the team because he wants to wear pink and oliveira will be there as well i don't know about the other riders but most likely they will be good time trialists to give canc a chance with the TTT.
