I hope Uran and Henao will screw up Wiggins after his first problem in mountain stage.:D
Henao FTW!!!

They'll do in the giro as they did last year in the Vuelta with Froome. None of them is John Gadret :D

Yea:D...

I mean Henao can win this Giro, and with his contract ending this year he can boost his GC market value if he screw up Wiggins and rides free role.He should go to another team with good domestiques and try podium at Tour 2014.:)

My good was generic. "good we finally have the official sky lineup"

Okay. What do you think of it, though?

They are like uspostal, tour is their only objective. Wiggins is seduced to ride the giro by sky management simply to reduce the internal friction between wiggins and froom.:D

Wiggins will more than likely attempt the mythical Giro - Tour double, though, regardless of Froome. That would make him a living road cycling legend. I could be way off, but I think that's his real objective. (Along with the world championships later this year.)

Richie is short for Rigoberto? That's quite confusing. ;) Obviously it is not entirely clear what he meant. If Henao is riding the giro (which to be fair seems very likely given the quote from Wiggins) then he says that if Wiggins is too tired from the giro, Henao can take over his role, since he won't be too tired from the giro. A little bit strange don't you think? So forgive me for interpreting it as "if Wiggins is too tired from the giro, we still have a fresh Porte and Henao (who won't be riding the giro)". Since that's most certainly true for Porte, it seems to make sense.

I meant porte. my bad. but he says very simply that if wiggins is too tired after the giro, henao will go. henao should ne be too tired after the giro I guess because he's a helper. however if brailsford really pulls that of, henao will leave the team 100% as it would ruin his vuelta that he was promised in march

I hope this as well. as big fat knife in the back of wiggo, henao will be a better climber for sure. also they could do as they did similar in vuelta(uran and henao) and that is not give a flying f*** about their leader and just ride their own race and save up for later(wc and lombardia last year) the vuelta

It was pretty much what I expected. No Porte and no Kiry. Henao, Uran, Cataldo and Siutsou are more than enough. Sky will be the strongest team but I hope (and think) Astana will be close.

Can't see how this isn't the best team available. Sure there's no Richie ****in Porte, there's no Epic Kiry, yet you still get two of the best riders in the peloton for stage races (Henao and Uran), a couple of great all-rounders (Cataldo and Pate), a Soviet mother****in machine (Siutsou), and some powerhouses (Knees, Zandio).
Even a mascotte in Puccio.

They're ****in machines!

I hope he won't save himself for the Vuelta, but will fly in mountains at the Giro - that would be pretty dirty trick, but i dont mind:D

Anyway your idea with vuelta is more realistic and almost as good as with the Giro

how about puccio? there are like hundreds of riders in the peloton better or similar level. don't see why that would be a good decision to select him

All the recent noises make it feel like Wiggins is going to call in sick for the Tour and ride the Vuelta instead, which makes a lot more sense.

Sky Italia pay 15% of the wage, so to have the maximum number of Italians in the team is good for them.

I personally thought they would select Kennaugh, but perhaps Puccio is on better water bottle carrying form coming out of the classics?

It is going to be a great Giro this year. Nibs v Wiggo will be a great fight.

I'm afraid this year's no TT Vuelta is a bit thick even for such a beast like Wiggo.

You go on like Henao has not had a fair crack at leading he co-lead a Giro last year in his first season with SKY, and this year he has lead a few race's and got good results. Wiggo is not going be around long, surely Sky is the best place for him. C Froome and S Henao will probably be the 2 main riders. The only way Henao should leave is if he wants to always be a Tour leader because he wont never be ahead of Froome, why don't riders just do Giro Vuelta every year?.:D

He's italian in an Italian race, for a team part sponsored by Sky Italia. It's a PR pick.

Wiggins will never win the triple crown. Not a chance.
