Interestingly the gap has gone down to 3 minutes. Katusha and RadioShack leading the chase...

Protecting their coveted 11th and 12th place spots on GC.

They are not protecting GC positions, they are giving their guys a fair chance at winning the stage. Caruso and .... Nizzolo? He climbs better than most sprinters.

OPQS should try and disrupt the chase. :p

They should put a worker in the break purely for the purpose of driving the break along as much as he can till to quote cav, his legs can't turn anymore.

RS are chasing to protect Kiserlovski's Top 12 position.

Pretty irritating if you have a large bet on Caruso to get top 10.

Kelderman is looking good today. I do not expect the break to make it to the finish but Kelderman and Pate could go far.

Because Menchov announced today that he is going to stop cycling, I wanted to share this video with you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EQsh1IG0og
His win in the Giro 2009 with the superb bike change in the last KM of the final TT.

Didn't think Machado would need to be in the break to win.

it's because he will lose 3 minutes in the descent for being one of the worst descenders in this field
