Indeed, for example, a certain rider Ryo called "extremely overrated" and a "mediocre climber" is now leading the Giro by 4 minutes :p

Overrated as a climber, yes, not as a GT rider...

Edit: not starting this discussion again.

It's all about enjoying someone losing more than someone winning. Why bother watching at all ? I have enjoyed the race very much.
I copy that, the race has been very entertaining so far IMO.

damn - 4.02 on Evans- damn

Nibbs just took his preformance to the next level :D:D

Evans time was surprising. I thought he might even have a little edge on Nibali, based on the first TT. Nibali is definitely better than ever and it is too bad he will not be riding the Tour. It would be fun to see Nibs in this form riding vs Contador and Froome.

Why are people constantly mentioning Alberto? Atm he is nowhere near Froome and Nibali's level.

Actually, he said he isn't in the top 20, in fact it could have been 30.

Why? Because he started the year badly? All I remember is that in the last GT he did he won and that was after almost a year off. Once upon a time riders peaked for one race a year. Maybe Bertie is doing that. So to say that he's not at Froome's or Nibali's level is a little presumptive.

I think not but I will leave this discussion now

I like to think Contador is getting back to top form as I type this;)

Contador in his Giro 2011 form :D

Ever? At this precise moment? No contest: Contador.

At this present moment - Nibali.

I think its likely Contador at the tour will be better than what Nibali is now, but don't underestimate Nibali now. Times change. I still had in my mind an image of Nibali from 09, 10, 11, 12 who was a top 10 climber and top 15 tter who had a good ttt team and could urk out podiums/ gt wins, when others faltered.

But what he is showing us right now, winning the tt like Contador won the tt in Nvegal - crushing the field, best climber on every stage in quite a decent field (whereas in the **** 2010 vuelta field he wasnt even the best climber), i think one has to realize Nibali has improved.

Exactly.

Outrageous performance by Nibali...

Evans beyond horrible.

Bizarre TT from Uran. It's ok doing negative splits but that's just too extreme. I wonder if it was a reaction to Cataldo's TT, who went out hard and suffered in the second half?

Kangert told Estonian media few days ago that he will not go full gas in this TT cause there's two big mountain stages ahead so him finishing 34th was expected.

Nibali was impressive.

After all, a second rate rider can't go challenging for the big one can he?
no he cannot..after the Giro it's almost impossibile.. Contador 2011 has shown it
