If you're really making a lot of money with that stuff you must be betting with a lot more expertise than you're posting on the CN forums with. Nibali destroyed a lot of your so called "superior climber" today.

Thats a bit unfair, Ryo is more often right than wrong, but then again, he is ****ing wrong about Nibali

I'll sya here nibali will never ever win another gt. his vuelta win was a fluke and a pathetic one at that. riding velits on 3 minutes after 3 weeks is downright ridiculous to make you win a gt. last years vuelta and giro he was exposed hard. but through luck and great team he stayed on the podium(in giro), remember finestre. same in the giro that basso won. his timetrials and downhil skils are masisvely overrated. he's no where near top itt/gt riders like wiggins, leipheimer, contador, kloden, samu, menchov etc etc his downhils you ask? well show me where he took some masive time on downhils. savoldelli would take up to 3 minutes in some downhils nibali is lucky to get 20 seconds against riders like menchov and other sucky downhillers. in the tour 2009 was he ever dangerous in a downhil against real gt riders with above average downhil skils?? nope

but by all means keep overrating him like everyone does. I had a good time laying him last year for a vuelta win against great odds and will do so again this giro

basso won't do the tour. he will do the giro-vuelta double.

in reference to Nibbles doing the Giro last year:

for california?? still I'm 99% sure he will do the giro wether basso succeeds in romandie or not. the team can't risk it

You don't say...I just took a peak, but it's pretty mild so far, the consensus apparently being that whatever he does, Sky are doing worse...oh wait, where did we hear that before ;-)

In spite of his new "environment" (Team Vino) I'm going to stick with the fact that each champ has a "wonder year", Hinault/81, Roche/87, Lemond/89, Bertie/2009, etc...so maybe 2013 is Nibali's year and in this case he should give the TDF a shot. Heck if Evans can do it so can Nibali !

I think its likely Contador at the tour will be better than what Nibali is now, but don't underestimate Nibali now. Times change. I still had in my mind an image of Nibali from 09, 10, 11, 12 who was a top 10 climber and top 15 tter who had a good ttt team and could urk out podiums/ gt wins, when others faltered.

But what he is showing us right now, winning the tt like Contador won the tt in Nvegal - crushing the field, best climber on every stage in quite a decent field (whereas in the **** 2010 vuelta field he wasnt even the best climber), i think one has to realize Nibali has improved.

Good. I can lay off the "second rate" stuff now then.

Nibali has improved a lot in 2012 already. Even I admitted that

However this season he has improved to another level. He's about as good as you can get if you ask me. Only his ITT could still improve. His climbing is probably as good as any one. May only alien Froome is better

Kangert told Estonian media few days ago that he will not go full gas in this TT cause there's two big mountain stages ahead so him finishing 34th was expected.

Nibali was impressive.

Fantastic form by Nibali. Shame we won't see him up against Froome and Contador in the Tour. Once Froome has won that though, he might be tempted by La Vuelta and we get the showdown of the season!

Had fancied sanchez for this, but just one of those days, shows how well Nibali has conserved energy throughout race, stunning job by astana management, he always looks happy with how things went and then when it came down to him he destroyed the field.

How could wiggins have expected to win this after that showing?
