Bardiani lost a lot of time to Blanco in the 2nd half. 5 seconds at tjhe split, much more at the finish

Hmm, don't think this will be enough to beat Garmin and BMC

Not sure Sky really need beat them. I think getting Pink too early could prove disadvantage, especially for Sky considering they will have to work a lot in 3rd week.

I've never really seen that in a TTT. Damn Pate

I was going to say that too, bizzare. And he looked quite a bit off in that motorbike shot. Either an amazing effort or Sky slowed down for him (although why they would do that escapes me).

Sky crushes as expected

13 seconds already. This is gonna be 30/40 seconds at the finish

Only comparing to weak teams.

If Pate can get back on from 40 yards back they're not going great guns at all - almost feels like they paused to keep Pate in the time limit. Presume he's been ill all morning.

I know your take on Blanco, but calling them a weak team is really not justified in this discpline and with this team

I have no recorded position on Blanco.

They're 13 seconds ahead of CSF, 28 in front of Colombia. Get real.

It's only a 17km ITT, not a 30km one. Differences of 1 minute aren't easy to make on this sort of distance. Get real yourself

Not in the same post as saying Pate shouldn't be dropped on this course. Problem for Blanco is they are just too heavy and their climber-types aren't names you'd usually associate with a great TTT.
