I think Nibali wouldnt have dropped him,but thats only speculation.

Nibali only finished 20 seconds ahead of the Colombians. Betancur had to get back to the front group twice in an effort that did not look easy at all.
I think it's pretty clear he spent a lot of energy getting back, he wouldn't have openly been ****ed off at Saxo otherwise.

But then again, that's just my opinion in my new-found fanboyism. :)

“This is partly a precaution but also a statement to the organisation. They knew long enough that there was so much snow on the road. What happens now is the fault of the organisation. Have you ever wanted to bicycle through the snow? There are nicer things than this. I’m completely frozen.”

whining about the snow, and saying the organisation is at fault. pretty similar in my opinion. (i like both of them, and did not expect these type of comments from either of them.)

Where was this? Do you have a link to who spouted this nonsense?

That was sweet! Nibs taking off his glove and kissing his wedding ring:p I am such a sucker for move like that!!

Then Agnoli in tears...aw, man...

I missed all but the last bit - gotta watch it again.

Lol I hate such moves but that's just me :D I'm a bit weird

Agnoli in tears is sweet though

Betancur up to 4th! Just a great overall ride from him. I hope he continues to progress and he and Majka can take up this battle again at the Vuelta

EDIT: Well 5th.

Both did great rides this Giro but I doubt Majka would have been as close to Betancur if we'd had the full parcours without the weather induced changes.

Cancellara is a pro whiner always has been. Who cares what he thinks of the Giro. If the organisers were not concerned about the riders they wouldn't have re-routed stages and cancelled yesterday's stage. The riders think the organisers have done a good job.

That depends. The course was very suited to Betancur this way, he's an explosive climber and we've had mostly explosive climbs.

I gotta say that if I look at the two and have to predict who will be the real super star in the future, Betancur seems the obvious bet. His acceleration is out of this world.

Exactly. Betancur is more a man for Giro/Vuelta. Steep ramps suit him very well. Changes of rhythm.
