Stage reminded me of last year, where they could have put the hammer down and dropped Hesjedal on one of the medium mo stages. Could end up paying for it

Me too.It was Lago Laceno stage precisely:)

IMO Wiggins is lesser danger for Nibali than Evans and Scarponi. He can pick 30s on him on MTT but there is still 46s to Nibali,he has to drop Nibali in mountains.:p

He can probably put a minute into Nibali on the MTT, to not put the hammer down and finish him off today was foolish in the extreme. Mentally he is clearly fragile and another minute or more today would have probably meant he abandons or gives up.

I was wondering.. after wiggins is back to the group. I haven't seen any of his team mates around him all the way to the finish line. He was dangling at the back by himself. Is this a telling that sky might decide on 3 leaders from now on and support the strongest one? They told uran and henao to stay with nibali group while the rest of the team were pacing wiggins back to the peloton. Or is it usual? you know, to let your team leader dangling at the back of the peloton by himself?:confused:

And if fluid team leadership is the new Sky modus operandi, what does that imply for France?

#CatherineWiggins Brad will ride the Pyrenees stages starting this Thursday. c u soon #100TDF.

He'd better not. Seriously. Or he goes down as "a knight with no balls!!" Quiting isn't the way out for a champ. He is facing lots of adversary now. We are all waiting to see how he responds. That's the mark of true champion. Not quiting. I hope this is not true.

Everyone except the 2 Colombians (they were given free rein by Sky according to Walsh) were used up dragging Wiggo back after he was dropped. So he was left to make it in himself.

And now for a mindblowing fact

1 BLANCO PRO CYCLING TEAM 102:19:07 0:00
2 SKY PROCYCLING 102:20:39 1:32
3 LAMPRE - MERIDA 102:23:28 4:21
4 ASTANA PRO TEAM 102:24:19 5:12
5 BMC RACING TEAM 102:27:09 8:02
6 KATUSHA 102:27:10 8:03
7 MOVISTAR TEAM 102:27:44 8:37
8 VINI FANTINI - SELLE ITALIA 102:36:44 17:37
9 AG2R LA MONDIALE 102:39:44 20:37
10 COLOMBIA 102:41:34 22:27

Great stage and Wiggo has to be pleased to have got through without losing more time. I think Millars attempt to dmage his sisters team ultimately may have had a worse effect on Ryder.

Next to a mountain top finish and we will see where everyone is, I expect if Cataldo, Sitsou, Wiggo, Uran and Henao are all with the GC group at the bottom of the final climb then Nibali will be under real pressure.

I'm not so sure what Wiggo thinks but I'm more leaning to him not caring that he didn't lose time. More likely disappointed that he didn't because that would give him a better excuse to drop out. Ever since he opened his fat mouth about winning this years' Tour he's been pouting around like F Schleck did last year @Giro. It's hard to come up with a good exit strategy and not look like a wuss at the same time.

Of course Sky and Astana would be ahead if their guys weren't riding on the front for their respective leaders, but it's still a good result indeed.
