What's not reasonable is that such a big race didn't have an alternative route planned in advance.

Not exactly a lot of alternative routes to get to the coast, and the others are probably under snow too. Wise decision to neutralise/transfer in my opinion.

my opinion is the same

45 km/h after two hours

the breakaway going hard to restart with a big gap. peloton riding in one line to close it

It does alter how the race would have turned out though imo.

The other hills will likely be raced harder now, and doesn't that mean that the race is much more suprising now?

Without the extra K's i'd imagine Sagan will be will be even more of a favourite than he already was so no not really.

When does global warming get to Europe so we can have some cycling?

Having been in Europe last year from RVV through to Romandie, spring as Aussies know it (warm sun, no need for heavy jacket) did not begin until the last week of April. Temp barely got over 10C prior to then.

we say pullman in Italy (from the old Pullman train coaches on the union pacific train line in the Us :D )

That's what I thought. :D

I love how Italians use so many "English" words which either don't exist in English or have a completely different meaning.

Kind of like the Germans saying "Handy" for mobile/cell phone and the Spaniards calling jogging "footing".

Major off-topic I know, but come on, we don't have much to do until live coverage starts...
