still he's very far away from topshape. normally he should be the best even on a climb like here. although today was already a lot better than the first mountainstage

There are a lot of WT riders who cannot win a bunch sprint, not even on CT level. Cycling is not only about climbing.

@marcelkittel: I was not often in my life so angry about a result of someone else. And I see many people around me feeling the same. #TourofTurkey

Dafuq? How can you get so angry at the at the front of the peloton, from the very back?

But they are probably too *** to pull the peloton and fail in the sprint

Gabrovski was strong enough last year to neutralise all the attacks on his own - seriously! - so we may not have a problem.

Yeah, that was crazy, whoever went off the front, even 10 metres, Gabrovski chased them down, again and again, every one of them, all by himself. It was insane. Like some kind of Jack Russell on ster........ oops, unintended pun.

Impressed by Cam Meyers climbing the last few days. Anyone else think he is a potential future GT winner?
Guess if he went to Sky he'd be winning the Tour in a couple of years time.

Depends what the field is like in California next month.

Nailed it. Although there's not a 5% hill in the final 30km so Kittel may just survive.

You'd have to consider how thin the climbing / GC contenders field is here though. Bagot has two top 5s here, yet his best position at Pais Vasco was 19th in a mountainous stage. At Catalunya, he managed a best of 32nd on the two tough stages.

indeed it's very hard to compare. remember that he also had to work his asz of for ivailo. 23 of age

seeldrayers nowhere, i think it was kash best placed for astana...

Kash seemed to be waiting for Seeldrayers after he was dropped. Seeldrayers is always aggressive but his attacks always fail. Time for a change. Why not try a late attack as the early ones never work but this time it was the Turkish rider that broke him and everyone else.

He has climbed well in this race but against who ? Like Bobridge, who has had some health problems, the early potential hasn't been built on. Still plenty of time for improvement.

all sounding bit messy again this year would liked see something diffcult before dwithcing over for romandie

The current difficulty of the race can probably carry a 15km TT, but then the logistics will add additional cost etc.

Alternatively a stage with a technical descent late in the finale could have provided additional fireworks.

I think its OK with the circuit in the capital on the last stage to give lots of local folks an opportunity to follow the race, but today should have provided more GC related chances imo.

Maybe next year.
