2013 Tour de France CQ game

Page 4 - Get up to date with the latest news, scores & standings from the Cycling News Community.
Today's scorers were all unique picks:
Kwiatkowski gets 35 for BigC24
Cimolai gets 25 for Al Pacino
Simon gets 10 for Hilltop Finisher
and Impey gets 3 pts or Mlafort.

Popular choices De Gendt and Taaramae, and several other riders presumably chosen for chance of cheap GC points (Dupont, Coppel, Velits, Sicard, Hoogerland) all lost large lumps of time today: I reckon only Aussie Goddess, Bicycle Boy, BigC24, Geraint Too Fast, LugHugger, Martyfulu, Mellow Velo and Mlafort1 emerge undamaged today.

PS 1000th post!

Yup I would take that.

Accepted. Should be an easy win for you as three of my dark horses (MEYER Cameron, VELITS Peter, COPPEL Jérôme) already lost major time today and are out of the GC picture.

On the other hand, the top picks also lost two GC riders today (TAARAMÄE Rein, DE GENDT Thomas), so I'm not that much behind. :D

Taaramäe is apparently suffering from asthma, and was in addition involved in the crash that took down Martin etc on stage one. Stage win from a breakaway seems the only hope for him now...:(
A bit sad also that I dropped Cimolai in the last minute, but at least I have the consolation of having him as a unique pick in the yearly game.

100 points from Kittel for Martyfulu, Pricey Sky and Tuarts;
35 points for getting the right Van Poppel for Hoerpi and Kazistuta;
Millar is the unlikely point winner in a sprint for Bicycle Boy and MC Mountain, and for LugHugger, who also had 5 pointer Henderson;
Blues in the bottle, Zlev11 and Mellow Velo are also off the mark.

Yeah, my boy Danny van Poppel!! Only chose him becasue Froome was so expensive that I needed cheap outsiders :p

How about a "toto" schleck avatar for a month if collective wisdom wins? IDK what you want me to stake...

Source?

That would majorly suck for my team, rested all my chances on him. :mad:

Yesterday a Dutch TV commentator said it, I read it today on these forums in todays race thread and today a Flemish TV commentator said Cav is on antibiotics as well, al ready a few days before the TDF started.

It sucks for my team as well. :(

Rojas earns 35 points for Blues in the bottle and for Zlev11;
Kwiatkowski gives 25 points to BigC24, who also gets 3 points courtesy of Bouet;
Simon gains 2 points for Hilltop Finisher.

By tomorrow, hopefully, more than 15 of us will have some points on the board.

Stage 5

Far more recruitment of sprinters in this game than in the Giro: only odd scraps of points on stages like this in May, but now we get a 120 point haul for Geraint Too Painfully (Cav, Greipel and Ferrari)

Other good scorers today:
Al Pacino, Tomazo and LaFlorecita all get 95 points for matching Cav and Ferrari;
Zlev11, Blues in the bottle, LugHugger, Bicycle Boy, Just Some Guy, Afrank, Maaaaaaaarten, Somar13, Tigerion all have Cav as well, and the first two even get a point for Rojas as well.

Guaranteed points Stage points + Yellow jersey wearer bonuses:

Cavendish pickers knock Kittelites out of the top spots.
