To be honest though difficult to know with the first time check if someone is on a really good ride, can only probably tell with it if someone is on a really bad ride.

and also, it can be, that martin's time is not that good as we'd expect because of the injury from the first stage, then the other times looking good compared to his might not be as good as they seem.

i think comparing de gendt and martin might be good

TM's speed dropped by @ 2.5kmph between first and second time check, and then raised by 2kmph in the final sector

In the case of tuft and de gendt, the speed was steadier between first and second time check, but both raised the speed in the final sector.

Sagan is a complete beast. If any sprinter is going to turn themselves into a GC rider in the modern generation it's going to be him. Incredibly impressive.

Impressive from Gilbert, scatch that, incredible, but he probably is super fresh considering how little he has done.

Why do people always wanna ruin a rider by making him a GC-rider?

he is powerfull, so he must do good ITT... but he didnt work that and his position was very bad... now he is improving that, and he do good ITT... but in Suisse was more impresive for me...

My feeling... Yeah, i think Froome can/will beat Martin this afternoon. I think with his shape and his "super"bike, he can improve this 36' 29''. We will see...

As this is rather dull, let's try to predict the results for the top 20 on GC:

I say

sub 37 minutes

Froome

sub 38 minutes

Kwiatkowski
Kreuziger

38'-38'30"

Peraud
Evans
Costa
Rogers

38'30"-39'

Valverde
Mollema
Contador
Quintana

39'-39'30"

Ten Dam
Fuglsang
Martin

39'30"-40'

Moreno

40'-41'

Bardet
Rodriguez
Nieve

slower than 41'

Schleck
Anton
