Could see EBH having a go. It's not the strongest TTing field and it would be interesting to see what he can do. He's been pretty average so far, so maybe he's been saving something. I feel a bit sorry for him these days.
Brailsford just said that every rider but Froome and Porte are ordered to take it easy tomorrow. EBH wants to ride hard but won't disobey...

I can see why but I still think it's weird that Porte is allowed to ride hard and not EBH, who after all did beat Porte in Dauphine ITT.

Who cares, EBH can get a top-10 at best. Porte has to test his new TT position.

Froome
...Conti, Valverde +>2min

btw Tony wants to lose a lot of weight and transform into a gc contender over the next 2 years.
Didn't he try this a few years ago, resulting in him being able to climb nor time trial?

Come on Tejay, save some pride!

The crashes certainly haven't helped matters, but really, his form is pretty bad. Maybe they need to reevaluate his schedule for next year. A lot of people around here don't think he's very good, but whatever you think of him, he clearly ought to be substantially better than he's been.

Depends if there are 2 or 3 minutes between them.

Didn't we say during the dauphine that since Porte is 2 minutes behind Contador he'll never catch him :D

Froome willl catch him ;) 3 minutes ain't **** for Froome.

If Contador stays within 1 minute of Froome it would be amazing.

Porte

Sky is probably grooming Porte, so they may let him go full gas in the TT. With the rest of the team taking it easy, and Porte taking it easy in the end yesterday, not such a risk.

Froome has the big last off advantage, other contenders wont have a lot of chance to react if he pulls out a blinder.

It's not really long enough for anyone to react. They'll just have to go all out from the off.

I don't see Sky letting Porte go full gas, not after what happened earlier this week.

I think Porte will go full gas. No need to save himself, there's enough time to Ventoux. Also, Porte's data from the course should be useful to Froome.

I'm not sure. They need him at full capacity for the Alps and every little bit adds up.

Thomas may be allowed to go full gas.
