they designed the course to be wind dependant, so its kinda random and surprisingly

if wind picks up later i wont be surprised to see late starting riders well down bellow the ones that started now

it's like playing at casino

i guess tdf organizers wanted to avoid a classic 40-50km TT with no variables that kills the tour to early

A result of deciding more or less the entire tour squad in January. When the warning signs came in June, they simply ignored the possibility that his form was bad because they essentially had no plan B.

Still his team always presents him as 'the TT specialist'. He's not, he's a prologue specialist. Their best TTist is probably Gesink, but somehow they always act surprised if he rides a good TT.

I heard that ppl may want to ride slow in the first half of the course because of headwind.

Martin's favorite part of the course should be from 1st chrono to finish. Just watch!
