Well well, we might be seeing a change of the guard this tour. Kittel was clearly in a worse position than Cav and still managed to jump over him. Maybe he'll be the man to beat from now on.

Not sure about that but normally no one passes Cav when he goes that close to the line. Kittel is going really well.

He beat Greipel in the last sprint, he beats Cav today, Kittel one of the top three without doubt.

Without doubt, yea, but we knew this before Tour I think. It depends on form and conditions who wins.

Well, the bunch sprint competition is heating up.

We officially have three class A sprinters:

Cav
Kittel
Greipel

Congrats to Kittel for his 3rd tour win. What a response after last year's failure.

Agreed but I didn't think he was this close, Champs-Elysees might actually be interesting this year.

What a gap Kittel managed to bridge

Good chance Kittel running longer cranks than Cav, and one can see the space close fast in slow motion. Longer legs + cranks = Torque to cruise past.

Agreed, depends on form and positioning with those three. Several around here doubted Kittel belonged on the top rung with Gorilla and Cav before the Tour, though. I've been most impressed with the improvement in his climbing.

Astonishing how big the gap is between these 2 and the rest. Greipel belongs up there as well, but then? Sagan always cleverly finding the right wheel but then the gap is just massive.
