I wonder how long other sprint teams will accept Argos not riding to reel in the breaks. It was fine at the start of the Tour, but with Kittel winning his 3rd stage now they may well be forced to sacrifice some riders earlier on in the future.

If Porte and Schleck are reported as having crashed there must have been another crash behind the pile up that was shown on tv

I don't think Schleck crashed, he had to stop and got out of his clip. When he rolled over the finish he did not look at all like he crashed.

Boasson Hagen on the other hand is clearly hurt.

Astonishing how big the gap is between these 2 and the rest. Greipel belongs up there as well, but then? Sagan always cleverly finding the right wheel but then the gap is just massive.

Sagan doesn't have a lead out. He shed a few pounds in order to climb better, therefore he's not the same sprinter he was last year. Kittel pretty much unbeatable right now, great form. He'll take tomorrow's stage as well.

with greipel missing the points and two pure sprinter stages left, the green jersey race is pretty much over

cg to kittel,very impressive

Pretty much, all Sagan has to do is stay on his bike and he's got it. Cav or Greipel would have had to win all 3 of this weeks sprinter stages to get themselves back into possible contention. He's played the green jersey competition very well.

With three wins, they can afford to sit back and relax. The pressure is building at OPQS and Lotto.

Next year however, noone will give them a free ride.

From GC point of view this stage matters only because of those 2 Sky that dived

Anyone knows who and what their injuries are?

I don't think anybody is unbeatable of the sprinters but right now he is doing great. Has a good sense of position and timing and of course a huge topspeed.

As a side note Froome was 14th, 2.5 bikes behind Kittel

Why he was pushing it so hard? Not like would get any seconds over other GC guys because of the crash under 3 km

Confused the Blue-Yellow helmet in front as being Valverde ? There was a MOV guy in 8th

i think sagan just has to finish the tour to get green jersey.

Now its going to be a fight for second place in both yellow and green.

at least polka and white is still not over. :(

Was he sure there was a crash behind him - can imagine Sky radio might have been a bit confused at that point. I thought it looked like Piti too - and he can sprint a bit so maybe Froome was worried about being gapped ?

I'm not saying its logical but he did put his team into the red on stage 9 perhaps naively so maybe he doesn't always make the best decisions. Doubt it will do anything to him with the form he is in anyway.

Think he was probably just staying in position at the front, and not working too hard to be there in the sprint. The crash meant it was a smaller group at the finish I noticed.

maybe he wasn't sure wether the crash was inside the final 3km or not (as it was with 2.8km to go or something like that) - so there might have been the opportunity to gain some time

no way he didn't know. the crash happened after the 3km banner. and every GC contender knows where tht banner is.

Right - worked it out: Chris Froome was ahead of the crash, therefore he has to stay with the front group or he will be gapped.

He doesn't know if there are any GC contenders or not in the front group so he has to stick with it.

Thats all there is to it I think.
