Tweet by Velofutur - Costa's managing agency:

Roughly translated, "Today we should analyze the ability of the DS'. Some were eliminated by bad luck and others by bad decisions"

I believe they're referring to riders. Costa transfer rumors, go?

I think that depends on Valverde. This might have been his last Hurrah, in that case there's little reason for Costa to leave. But he might very well go the Rodriguez way as well, especially with Quintana at Movistar as the leader of the future.

BMC and katusha have ZERO REASON for riding.

Morons, idiots.
Contador, Mollema and Ten Dam are upfront.

This is fun, but Saxo are doing a lot of work for a minute. Froome can get that back in 4 km of climbing.

Ugh, belkin. I've been pr etty uninterested in this tour so far, but now at least I have someone to root against. Hope Mollema blows spectacularly.

Half my face is crying for Valverde, the other is Loling @ Froome.

Yes, I'll be firmly rooting against Belkin the rest of this Tour. Froome - big deal, he's got such a big lead it wouldn't matter if he lost 2-3 minutes today so 20-40 seconds means nothing.

They aren't. They still have to work to distance the group behind containing their closest rivals and it's silly to just give the guys in front time.

If they dont do work, Sky will HAVE to do work. They are not just going to surrender the yellow jersey. So why kill yourself if you can get a free ride instead?
