So... Froome's closest threat is now someone who said that he will only wheelsuck? Oh we're gonna have so much excitement....

Who said that. Mollema?

Froome's watching this with a grin on his face, letting the rest fight for 2nd.

That's the nature of the race from here to Paris. A race for 2nd and 3rd.

No one is grinning with this pace, they're all fighting to stay in contact

Right now, I think they earned the right to throw a bottle though the Belkin car window.

Sky has a history of not pushing GC contender punctures.

They rode after a crash by Valverde in last year's Vuelta. That's not too big a difference from a puncture. I think the real difference here is that Valverde is no longer a threat.

Are there any Saxo non GC men in the front group ?

Maybe 1 could drop back to lend Movistar a hand...

I think Saxo were trying to slow the group down. Tells me they are the only team that doesn't care about 2nd..

This is perfect for Froome, he'll only look at Contador now.

I don't think Contador likes this, he would have passed valverde in GC eventually.

It's bike racing. There are 70+KM to go. It could happen to him or any of the other GC candidates too.

Belkin can argue that they were riding hard on the front before Valverde's puncture and they'd have a point

Very unlucky again for Valverde though

Not for Contador. I bet the sponsors also prefer him to try and go for yellow than for a podium.

NOS calling Frans Maassen right now.

He says they were riding already and Valverde having a flat tire wasn't a reason to stop doing that.
