Bertie would have gone even faster on the climbs with a regular non-plate bike and then change to a real TT bike. he choice mix between a TT and a road bike which cost him the win

Contador rode a disc over 2 climbs. Normal road bike + TT bike would have been much better. Would have spent a lot more energy pushing that disc up the climbs the way he was dancing on his pedals

Sad for TGBM, shame about Peraud, great effort by J-Rod. I would have preferred Bertie to win today, but I suppose that the up-side is that Froome didn't take (the expected) minutes out of the field....
