This will be utterly depressing. Froome will steam up those climbs and take another couple of minutes out of the field, including Bertie. Right now I'm telling myself not to even bother watching.....but when the race comes on I know that I will be...

Are you serious fant'? Perhaps not the win but at least a Top 3 for me. ;)

Yup. The ascents are way too hard for him, and he will lose time on the first descent too. Both ascents are very irregular, and the first descent is very technial. This TT is for GC guys.

Edit: Okay, he might go top 20, but just barely.

Tony Martin said he will start tomorrow on a road bike and then with 10km to the finish will switch to his 58x11 TT machine.

The final descent is fast (around 80-90 kmph according to Rolf Soerensen), so that seems sensible. But Tony will have lost way too much until then. Top 20 if he's lucky.

Well, well. Such excitement on the Forum and I rather chance for good reason too!! :)

Serious climbs (for a Tour ITT) ; narrow, snaking roads. This is NOT the usual Time Trial.

My mind is cast back to this years Giro with the ITT which Wiggo took part.

And I love Wiggo

But the twisty-turny stuff was well outside of his comfort zone. Froome is born from that school!

Big, BIG stage the day after - you don't want to be too Fckued.

Oscillating weather conditions? Maybe?

Probably.

Even if you are the best - do you have the ********?

Tomorrow will tell - And yes - you can lose 5 minutes tomorrow.

Martin is a solid climber and should it start to rain later in the afternoon, he will benefit of his start time at 12.39. The final descent towards the line is very fast the riders should be able to reach a speed of about 80 km/h. I keep my Top 3 for Tony.

Will be interesting to see which of Nieve or Rolland will be the fastest rider of the field at the first intermediate since they want those KOM points (they know they don't descend well enough to be in contention for the second intermediate to take the points of the second climb so I expect them to go all out on the first climb which should give them the edge on Froome/Quintana who while climbing better so far will have to balance their TT more carefully for GC reasons).

Just looked at the odds for tomorrow and Froome is Massive favourite to win.

I must be insane to think anyone else has a chance.:(
