I expected froome to win but by a larger margin. Maybe 20 seconds.
So does this indicate that alberto is closing doing on him in terms of form?
I really hope we see exciting racing tomorrow and the guys racing for 3-10 in the gc don't ruin the spectacle for defending their positions.
If alberto somehow wins this tour (Im being optimistic rather than realistic) then this will be the best tour I have seen!

quintana fastest btw the 2nd climb. 18 seconds faster than purito and froome! although both changed bikes, that was about 10 seconds max

Wrong. Purito 1s faster than Quintana including bike change. Froome 7s slower also with a bike change.

Even before changing bike Froome was already matching Bertie's time at the 2nd intermediate time check. Had Bertie changed bike, Froome would have won by much more margin.
I think the idea is that the TT bike goes faster than the road bike.

It looked to me like Froome took the descents very cautiously - almost Wigginslike, especially when the rain came down in his second descent, which may explain the lower than expected margin.

Would have been even closer if Contador had changed bikes. Rodriguez made up significant time on Contador with the change.

I wasn't Belkin hater before this years tour, but now i'm pretty happy that Belkin boys losing ground in 3-rd week and seems like Purito will beat both of them in the end, just because of awful comments of Dekker Tifosi and other guys about Katusha and Purito in stage 13. They had all rights to chase first echelon:rolleyes:, but i can't say same about BMC

Gutted for Peraud, that looked painful.

Who'd have thought the wettest bit of the stage would be Contador's eyes at the finish? Don't ever remember seeing a reaction like that from him...
