But if Quintana attacks on Madeline he will have 3 more mountains, he will chased down by three good teams in the form of Saxo.Katusha,sky.. he cant/wont risk that

saxo will attack as well, not chase, same purito. besiees where do they want to chase? it's almost all uphill except the valley in which he would have 3 helpers

Evans . . .

No wonder they are after Costa considering the way Evans and TJVG are going

For once I agree with Ryo.......(!)

Tactical purposes, hopefully to help out Contador/Quintana after attacking at the Madeleine descent, but maybe a bit later.

If Froome responds well (as we all expect him to), the tactic won't work anyway.

Why would they wait till later? WHy not use the Madeline if its there? at least to shed 1 or 2 sky domestiques, get a reaction out of Froome and rattle sky a little.

Don't you enjoy watching Gerraint Thomas & Ian Stannard riding tempo ?! ;)

Seen toooo much of that boring tempo already... on the contrary you have the counter attacks which are more exciting

Dupont dropped from Nieve group who is 4 minutes behind Hesjedal(Costa and Serpa are in this group).

Yeah, I guess the rib heals better in a 150km solo attempt ;)

It's painful just watching Ryder just now.

He'll still be feeling his rib every time he takes a deep breath, laughs, sneezes, looks behind him, or sits up, and instead of taking it easy, he's riding up the Madeleine on his own.

Attack on the descend? That wouldn't make sense. They need to drop Froome's mates before the top. Not that it's gonna happen, though.

More painful watching Evans. Miserable Tour for Cadel. Gutsy ride by Hesjedal.

So so bored of watching the Sky train. Why the hell don't some other teams shake them up more and dictate their own pace? At least make them think a bit.

Funny how people complain about the Sky train when Sky is leading the peloton, then complain about why other teams are helping Sky do their jobs when Sky is not leading the peloton.

He should wait for Rolland after Madeline and take it easy and ride until the last climb and then think of winning the stage if he wants a stage win

What's so surprising. Evans is no longer a GT winner and everyone knows it and they also need an alternative to TJVG.
