Not sure what you saw, but Cav was clearly slower than Kittel, Sagan, and Greipel. Chase may have taken the sting out of his legs.

He started from too far back and slowed down when he saw Greipel had it allowing Kittel and Sagan to past him. Greipel probably the fastest, Cav maybe 2nd fastest.

Huh? Gerrans is the only one of greenedge with 0 seconds in Gc, isn't he?

EDIT: i guess i'm wrong
There was a 5" time gap from the sprinters. But Impey would've gotten it on placings anyway.

Cav was never gonna win when he was about 5th wheel with just a few hundred metres to go. He pulled out into the wind early coz he knew he couldnt just stay in the wheels but it was always too far out, he had to use his burst just to get near to griepel and obviously faded in t,he last 100m

Cav had no lead out - had to keep jumping from lead to the next.

Considering he ate dirt today - don't think he can be too disappointed.

He didn't slow down. Sagan passed him as he was not riding in the wind. Just like EBH beat Sagan yesterday.

Sagan had him beat which is why he slowed.
