He was already gapped on the descent before that thing collapsed. I actually think moto guy lent him a hand, since he was way behind on one shot and then suddenly with Costa and Tejay on the next.

Right before he was only a few meters behind and had a huge gap with Pinot. Right after his gap with Pinot (who fully benefited from it) was marginal and his gap with Van Garderen and Rui Costa was massive all of a sudden. Maybe he did something stupid but without the thing collapsing he would've swept Rui Costa's 'Spanish' a*s all day long :D .

Nice victory though and would like to see Rui Costa win the overall again.

Don't forget that castroviejo is a jap.

IIRC you called him the best cyclist of this generation netserk. Above Canc and Contador

A bit i guess, but hey, the 'kid' still has time to improve. Again, i'm personally astonished by his performance today, totally not expecting (till 20k left or so when he was clearly looking better when it came to the GC boys)

Nice stage.

Definitively one of the best 20 riders in the world right now and constantly on the rise for the past 3 seasons. Had his name been something like John 'Merican and the hype would be unbearable on the CN site.

Reminds me a bit of Sammy Snake from Phoenix Nights. :D

Not a bad stage, but I don't think we saw anything that's going to be giving sleepless nights to the guys who raced the Dauphine instead.

Interesting how TJVG is emerging as the forums most hated rider. I find myself rooting for a schleck jr return to form, so it's nice to have a new villain! Seems to fit the mould, early success and then turns out to be abit of a ****

Most hated rider? Where did you get that from? Most people, myself included, just think he is overrated as a GC contender but i don't think anyone here hates him.
