Why oh why the Eurosport highlight should be at 4.15 AM in my country? The desert(ed) look of Oman is way freakier when seen half asleep. But I'm going to go for it this morning anyway, the stage sounds too great to miss.

Putting in less effort doesn't make you lazy

You can't deny by looking at both pictures of Conty and Froome that Froome is the lighter rider without knowing the stats

All i'm going to say on this now is he BETTER win some other races other than just the Tour de France like he has done in the previous years (except 2012 for obvious reasons).

As was stated earlier Froome definitely looks thinner but that doesn't equate to being lighter since he has a few inches in height on Contador. Now Contador certainly doesn't look "fat" unless you're looking at him in some strange funhouse mirror.:)

Froome looks like he is at race weight already, LOL. Brad and Bertie look a little fuller in the face than they are in mid-summer. They're carrying a little extra weight right now, they both say.

Just watched the green mountain stage. Honestly, you got to love Froomey (and Evans) for what they did inside the last km. AC and Nibali was completely finished and JRod looked like he had controll even though he looked tired after the finish line

Really loved Purito and super impressed by Evans hanging in there like a little trooper and taking third :)

That's fine, as long as the guy you are making work isn't the strongest in the race. If he is all you are doing it tiring yourself out and setting it up for someone else. That tactic may work in here, but I think at the Tour Berto is going to have to make an attack stick.

I agree but also I'm not just talking about Contador. Other riders will need to get some type of edge if their tt skills aren't competitive with the rivals. This means aggressive riding in the mountains and on the descents, hopefully by Purito, Valverde, Contador, Pinot, Rolland and others. Collectively they could make the Sky train run out of steam isolating Froome and making Wiggins feel the Giro in his legs.

(22:16) Crazy

Even for the start of the season that was a super attack. I wouldnt read too much into the results until the summer. It's obvious some riders are a little heavy and are here just for miles in their legs.

It's great to see some good racing between the top guys in February though!

I only just saw Froome on green mountain. WTF. The kind of energy he had left for the last 1km if he had spread that out over 3 or 4 k he could have blown everyone for minutes. He was streets ahead of everyone.

More like cavendish.

Downhill.

Who are you and what did you do to the Hitch? You're hyperboling as f*ck. It's not unheared of to lose 20 seconds in 1 k if you've blown yourself up too early.

It was 500 metres to be exactly. Maybe even less. It was impressive to say the least.

It was a typical case of someone running out of energy. Something very similar happened to Froome on Collada de la Gallina.

Hitch seems even more pessimistic than me. I don't know. Seems weird.

And by this logic Contador should have beaten Froome Since Conty is far more heavier than Froome i'll admit Purito should have dusted them both but Contador is supposed to be making a point this season i can't stress that enough.

Hey, Contador hater, just be patient till July, when the legend will attack and crush the alien impostor.

Styby is targeting Het Nieuwsbald , and looks to be in great form. He could be the surprise weapon for OPQS this season.
