in the end, I don't think he will care whether he wins the Vuelta by 2 minutes or 2:06

it's obvious Horner will crush everybody on Angliru anyway.

i just hope so.

controversies are not good for any race.

It doesn't make sense any more to have the clinic separately.

I'm not sure what would be more appropriate for today's stage:
, or :(

:D is the most appropriate reaction for sure

the clinic would lose all integrity as this forum is just a trollfest and used as prep for the international hater of the year championships

Oh dear, Papa Horner:eek: What a pity I have to miss all the action.

6.7 W/Kg on Pena Cabarga is just stunning.

If Lance hadn't prevented Horner from riding in Europe for all those years, he would have won a few Grand Tours already.

Watch out for Scarponi in Firenze. Not great yet, but the form seems to be improving

I was thinking the same. Can you imagine? Horner wins the Vuelta, Scarponi wins the rainbow jersey...

Nice win by Kiri!:D

I got 17:01 for Horner on that climb. But, I'm no expert, so I must have made a mistake. Perhaps the Vuelta has some official timings.

canc abandon had nothing to do with the result. saxo and katusha were already ahead where his influence would have made a difference.

Also, I don't understand how guys can write off nibbles. Today was a day that he could play defensively. in the next two stages he now knows the time gap needed; and he can plan his race accordingly.

Despite all the noise made, jrod, valv, nib and roche were seperated by just 5 sec, and horner only made 25 sec to nib. GC battle today was hyped up too much.

25 seconds is a major gain. You talk as if Nibali could afford to just let Horner go as if he had this huge cushion.

No, it's better to keep them separate. If you don't have the discipline to restrain yourself then you deserve a warning or ban.

Nibali needs a miracle to win this Vuelta...

He's still ahead, albeit barely. He's a huge talent and if he can hang on to Horner's wheel, he'll win. That doesn't take a miracle and it's foolish to count him out. We still have some great racing ahead.

Obviously miracle is too strong a word, but considering horner has looked stronger than nibali on pretty much every climb in the race it would take a big leap of faith to think nibali is suddenly gonna match him on angliru
