at last the data i was looking for

1. Tony Martin (161)
2. Tyler Farrar (113)
3. Bauke Mollema (41)

Mollema gathers that 1 sec bonus. I would have thought that roche would try for that point, esp after he said in his diary that he liked to wear the green jersey.

he just should roll that 58 chainring up to the finish and the victory is his. easy peasy

It will be a nice sight if it is a TT bike that he is smoothly chugging away.

Zabriskie Vuelta 2004, stage 11, 161km

thank you.

it seems martin wont have the chance. 5:35 already.

will the bunch catch him before the next sprint point, or would they just let him struggle till the final 10km?

Mollema is going for the points jersey, not for the seconds. He is contesting bunch finishes with this aim in mind.

He finished 12th yesterday. Expect to see him sprint again today.

He is not doing it for the time.

Assuming Martin is only really out there training for the worlds I'd be surprised if he didn't call it a day before the last 50km or so - I doubt he'll want to destroy himself.

On the other hand perhaps he been hanging out with Jens recently.....

second intermediate

1. Tony Martin (161) (break)
2. Tyler Farrar (113)
3. Alex Howes (115)

which essentially means that Farrar won both the intermediate sprints. So, if bunch comes together in the finish, logically Farrar ftw.

Farrar now jumps to virtual 15th spot in points classification from 21st.

Whilst Tony Martin has been training for the Worlds Time Trial, Tyler Farrar has been simultaneously training for the Intermediate Sprints World Championship. Watch out in Italy. :p

There's an Intermediate Sprints World Championship. It's raced in the track and it's called the points race. Farrar, Cavendish, Greipel, Kittel and the like should be locked in there and never let back to race on open roads :p

Veremos.

Orica-GreenEdge for Howard?
