i was meaning to ask whether there was a chance for a long range solo attack from the top of climb. the descent is long., and a strong descent should ideally keep the peloton at bay. esp if the reminder of the road also has some repair work going on.

Even if, Cancellara would have no chance with today's finishing ramp. It's much harder than you seem to think.

EBH is trying to do what is meant.

did anyone spot roche? he was around 10th spot in the ascent, but i didn't spot him in the descent

yeah, he was 2nd at the steep finish in the Giro last year. But a podium is propably a bit too much to ask for

Basso could lose some time today. He seems a bit far back and if you don't start the wall in the first ten positions it's gonna be hard to come back.
