Perhaps Quintana, but i don't really what to expect from him in a one-day race.

At Emilia/ Lombardia last year he was very strong.
He can also descend well/ at TOB he even continued on the attack on the flats (thinking about the flats in Florence :) ).

Thx for the response @DaC (completely forgot about Martin in the race report).

Well, I would add also Konig to that list, or maybe instead of Kreuziger, he didn't show much in Vuelta, I think his form will be still dropping since the tour.

Konig is sick after Vuelta. Hopes to start the WC but without much hope I think. Kreuziger also quit Vuelta with sickness but had more time to recover. Not much hope in either of them I think.

oh, didn't notice that, that's a big shame for czech republic, they could have been good underdogs as a whole

Apparently the WC won't even be on tv in Germany, shows how much they care.

Kreuziger may be healthy by now, but difficult to say if he can find the spark from AGR. The Czechs should remember the old times and help Sagan get the win :)

Off topic: What is up with Eurosport not broadcasting the worlds. Anyone know any channel with international stream or not geo restricted stream that will?

Who is that with The Great One in your avatar? (And don't say Contador:p)

Looks like that footballer what used to be good.

Ok. Well, that's 2 times, not never. Introduce Gesink to roads that aren't 150 meters wide and he crashes :p

1 good result in an entire season and suddenly the Dutch think he's a worlds favourite...crazy. If Montreal/Quebec is that representative, then Vichot should be on this poll as well. He was 1 spot behind Geisnk in Quebec, and 1 spot ahead of him in Montreal ;)

Not all the dutch.

I expect Martin to do better than Gesink. Gesink has yet to impress me on an 250km+ demanding course. Martin is always a bit unpredictable though.

Actually I don't expect any of the dutch to contend for the win, unfortunately.

Top 10 should be this (no order):
1. Samuel Sanchez
2. Philippe Gilbert
3. Michal Kwiatkowski
4. Cadel Evans
5. Fabian Wegmann
6. Vincenzo Nibali
7. Ryder Hesjedal
8. Dani Moreno
9. Rui Costa
10. Dan martin

After looking at the climbs on strava, I'm pretty sure there is too much climbing for guys like Canc, Sagan, Van Avermaet and Eddy Boss. I may be wrong.

Too much climbing for Cancellara, who was great at Mendrisio with a sh*tload of climbing? And too much climbing for Sagan, who won a freaking mountain stage in Suisse by being the only one in the top 20 of that stage not being a GC-rider.
Right.

And then you enter Wegmann in the top 5 who's not even remotely close to Cancellara and Sagan in climbing ability. Let's just throw logic straight out of the window
