so no real reason to wait and the crash happend at under 10k to go...

the reason (bad weather, bad road, ....) why the crash happened is a completely different story.

It was the crash that enabled them to break away. It may have been a continuation of racing, but that racing was at a higher pace then it would have been otherwise and it took advantage of the crash.

There's a difference between continuing to ride and an attack. When the camera cut back to them it looked like they putting in a big dig.

A lot can be said about today - some of the guys are going to attack like crazy in the coming stages. The MTT now becomes even more important.

Evans I guess does not have much choice. He probably realizes that he may lose time at Grappo and Zoncolan so maybe he pushed hard here to cover up.

No one is afraid of Evans. . . he could win 3 or 4 minutes on Quintana today and it still wouldn't matter

Evans shouldn't be underestimated. its in stages like this that he makes time. in others, he will just try to not lose much time.

Quintana and Movistar will be forced to ride the real mountains very hard soon.

i dont think tht the GC guys should be giving so many freebies to Evans, unless they are forcing BMC to take responsibility of pink.
