Dude, you have 4 post. This should have been done WAY before. But the mods are ****ing sleeping.

Frankly, the Sky idiot is much more easily ignored than these constant appeals for action against him (that should be in more appropriate threads anyway). Have you never heard of dynamic IP numbers? I know mine is different every time I log on, and I am with the biggest ISP in the UK.

Alright. But has ianstannard been banned?

Multiple times, he just keeps coming back under new guises. Eshnar banned one of them earlier today.

what is it with this idea that only well established riders i.e. past winners of big races are allowed to win big races? the whining about this never fails to astonish and amuse me. that it comes from skybots is a nice bonus tho.

the others were tired plus rode stupidly and terpstra took his chance, end of.

Amazing race today.

On Norwegian TV:

Hushovd said he felt incredibly strong today, but his job was to be out front and cover attacks. He also said he wished he had been stronger earlier this year so that BMC would have ridden for him, but he had not earned that spot this year.

You could tell he was frustrated, and between the lines was that he might have been with the first group if it had been otherwise.

Great race.

I have to say that Geraint Thomas was pretty extraordinary today. To think that Sky had EBH as leader.

He wasn't even in the top five and you say he was extraordinary?

Nah I do not really have anything against Terpstra.

I dislike it when someone wins who (in my opinion) was obviously not one of the few strongest or when I have a feeling that they will not be winning many more monuments. Terpstra fits both criteria.

Haha what? I've never understood this attitude. They don't just compare stat lines on the backs of their trading cards for these things; they actually go out and ride for the win. And whoever wins is the winner.

I don't understand why we, as a culture, inject morality into things like sporting and economic success and all that. Competition is literally amoral. There is no "deserve," just a winner and a loser. Proof/pudding.

Good on you and your fellow moderators.

EBH is still a big name, but Sky now has about 4 or 5 classics riders who are stronger than him. Even someone who isn't a classics rider but a GT contender is now stronger :p

While I agree with you that he probably wasn't the strongest man in the race, don't forget that he brought back Boonen, waited a few moments and then attacked to ride 7 k solo to the finish. He must have been at least one of the strongest to pull that off.

De Backer covered attacks. Hushovd decided to help Boonen.

Do you think that they just said that EBH would be leader as a foil and the plan was to do exactly what happened? I sort of thought that before the race but more so now.

To me it looked like everyone from the group was cooked, and they had only limited chances against strong Terpstra.
Terpstra had a lot of energy left, coz I remember I posted 3 posts where I asked where is he,because he wasnt visible at all during last 60 km,he raced smart coz Boonen and then Styby did show for Omega.

Deserved win and great tactics from Omega:eek::D
He deserves this for all the years of role of domestique.:)
