Richie Porte wins, while ripping off his kit and mask to reveal underneath that he's really Mark Cavendish (which would also explain why he was so crap in the mountains, really).

Actually like this idea a lot. :)

In what scenario he is supposed to take this in your opinion?:)

Purely voting from my sympathetic simple heart? I want to support the wolverine? As far as a scenario goes, I can more likely see him top five it.

Pappy Horner takes this from the break.

Pappy Horner goes all out in a desperate attempt to win the stage, takes a corner too fast, breaks his neck and dies. (Post to be very quickly deleted) ban me! Ban me!

Cannondale and Katusha should work together on this one to set a hard pace on the final climb to put Kittel and Greipel out of position. Cannondale never survives to lead Sagan out in the final kilometer anyway, might as well put the team to good use before they get there.

Cannondale and Katusha should do the same as last "flat" stage. Let the Giant do the all work and start to race and go crazy only last 20 km.

Unfortuantely I am afraid they cannot rely to much on OPQS or at least their biggest engine Martin. He should save himself for tommorow. If I see him there today doing the staff for Trentin he will become my second favourite rider. What this guy is doing for team is incredible.

I pray for Sagan but if not him I wish Kristoff will take it again. "Third time's the charm" The guy is amazing.

i disagree regarding Tony Martin.
a) he is a team man
b) he is the only true TTer left in the tour.
c) with cav out, this is the only stage left where the team can TTT to a stage win.

All the sprint teams will send riders up to control the break. only two sages re left for them. with Kittel on fire, we might as well say, the only stage left for a sprinter.

I stand corrected
most boring tour ever

cobbles were probably a bad idea to knock out Froome and Rodriguez,

Contador was unlucky, but overall the field here assembled wasnt so strong with some Colombians bypassing it

i look forward to Vuelta

take nothing away from Nibali. he is a great.

Departure under big stormy rains, sometimes of beautiful breaks. Temperature of 23°à 27°. Wind of West 30 km/h then south-western after the intermediate sprint.

Crazy (unlikely) prediction time:

Kristoff is going to sprint for the line, and just as it looks like he's about to take it - making the Norwegian commentators go completely bananas - he's going to be overtaken by Mørkøv.

I know Dumoulin is still there. but for a level-playing field, we need a rested Dumoulin and a slightly tired panzer ;)

weather forcast doesnt look that encouraging. i think advantage to the break.
