Great turnout and it was a interesting finish with those sharp hills at the end. Good call on the person who said cancellea might try a flyer of the front at the end. Even though kittel won me money, sad to see cav crash like that, really hope he can come back but looks unlikely.

@planetcycling: Patrick Lefevere to #eurosport : "Nothing broken for @MarkCavendish " #goodnews #TDF2014

e: maybe. TdF have a translation on their site saying "if nothing is broken he'll continue". Not sure if that's 2 different comments at different times or dodgy translating somewhere

I'm still seeing Talansky down 4 minutes on the official website. Where are you guys seeing no time lost?

I'm seeing that he lost time everywhere. He did lose time. Big bummer.

Cav tried to force gerrans out the way, gerrans handlebars then hit Coquard's and Gerrans was forced back into Cav. Cav leaning into Gerrans did not cause the crash it was Gerrans handlebars hitting Coquard's.

Are you saying that Gerrans' handlebars contacting Coquards' had nothing to do with the leaning from Cavendish?

Because it sounds to me like what you explain clearly advises Cavendish did cause the crash.

Great news !:D

Does that mean he will continue racing ? I'm assuming so, though he'll have a tough tough time tomorrow !

Yeah now that I've read it again, thankfully no one was hurt.

Maybe Cav can phone some Colombians for bike handling advice. While I don't want anyone to crash, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Hopefully he gets a sanction, assuming he continues.

Official site results have he and Kwia not losing any time in the stage results. Not sure which is right, though. Click the stage tab

Talansky lost time and so did Kwiatkowski. Not a good day for young guns.

Vaughters just tweeted that Andrew flatted in the last 3k and will get the same time as the winner.

Andrew Talansky will get same time as winner. He flatted with 3kms to go, within the permitted zone.

Dude... this is like saying "he wasn't killed by the bullet, he was killed by the fact that his heart stopped because there was not enough blood to pump anymore"...

ok good good, that's an unworrying problem. Was a bit concerned with 4 mins that he'd got rather banged up somewhere.

I wonder if it's a similar situation with Kwia

Just wish Sagan would not have been in such a hurry to pull in Cance. Let the guys who will win the sprint put in the final chase.
