Big blow for the race, now Nibali will win without problems.

God i hope something happen to Astana, attacking when a big rider like Contador is down, that's not okay, i hope karma bite them in their ***

I kept on hoping, and then when i saw Gripel holding on to the Saxo train i knew it was all over. A sad day for pro cycling.

Like what? This is a 3 week stage race, talansky hasn't proven ****.

Well, he did finish 10th in the tour last year and got stronger as the race went on (6th in the final mountain stage, 9th in the final ITT). 7th in the vuelta the year before that.

He's actually shown a penchant for being fairly strong the last week of 3-week races.

bad luck for Contador

what happened to his bike? did it just disintegrate?

seas are parting for Nibali... even with Purito losing an hour, its his to lose now (obviously)

long way to go though but sad for the race

the king of mountains duel is enjoyable though

This is really sad.

I'm starting to think Porte is winning this, for no particular reason.

what a shame..:(

was otherwise quite a scene, here up to the mauntains, with Contador Down 2½ min. and a full attack-agenda, and not least with Bertie in topform

Should have been quite a show..

So either Lo Squalo gets a full set of GT's (super amazing achievement!) or Valverde wins his first Tour.Still some excitement even though losing the big two names is devastating.

The race goes on...
