One more time, they are not putting the hurt on Talansky. They are riding a hard pace so Slagter has more chance to win.

I'm bewildered about the lack of intelligence shown by CN posters today

I know they still got Slagter. But teams like OPQS, Cannondale, OGE, etc. are also interested to put on the hurt. So there was no need for Garmin to further destroy Talansky in my opinion.

Edit: Okay, he is out now ...

Yeah, because Slagter is showing such great form this Tour?

Anyway, that's completely beside the point. Cannondale and Orica have everything under control, your leader drops, and you suddenly put your whole team to the front  that doens't make sense at all.

Slagter did show form working for Talansky. But he had to shepherd Talansky every stage and has had 0% for himself so far

The 2nd stage in England it was Slagter who accelerated for Talansky and the peloton instantly became a 15 men group..You guys are seriously all not being smart

Yeah, what's the point to catch the breakaway with 45km to go, if Slagter is going to sprint in the final?

Talansky bye bye now

Is Talansky still their leaders ? The Guy was 15 minutes back in the GC and he hit the ground lot of times this tour. Racing-wise he has become pretty useless.

Clearly you didn't read his post-race comments from that stage then. He pulled for Talansky because he didn't feel strong enough to win.

Talansky abandon

And where do you base yourself on that Slagter has no form? He was the one staying with Talansky when he dropped on sunday. He was the one dropping 90% of the peloton in England. The guy has form. If it's enough to win, that's doubtful. But it's enough to ride for.

I really don't get the total bewildering here
