Garmin is trying to keep Talansky safe. I don't know what Saxo is doing because Contador is not in their line. He is back in the pack a ways.

Stringing out the peloton might make is a bit safer, but it still doesn't make what they are doing seem right.

Just waiting for the moment about 2km out that Giant Shimano slide into the front of the peloton and kill the stage off.
