edit: but in that case he would have the same amount of points as Martin, who with a cat 1 win will lead the classification. So game over, Martin will get the KOM.

It was already clear when Martin was 2 minutes ahead with De Marchi that this was finito.

If they don't even attack the final climb then they are waiting for Martin to win
