According to rabo development twitter the Dutch selection for U23 will have:

Mike Teunissen
Timo Roosen
Lennard Hofstede
Sam Oomen
Mathieu van der Poel

Mathieu for world champion

If Mohoric can win consecutive junior and espoirs world titles, so can Van Der Poel.

Who will ride the ITT for Colombia?

First of all; I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but since it's related to the Worlds I figure it is. If it isn't a mod can of course move it to a more appropriate thread.

So, Denmark will very likely get six riders for the Elite Men's Road Race because of Cort's ranking on the European Tour. However, Cort himself isn't allowed to participate in the Elite Men's race because he's only a U23 rider.
Wouldn't it make more sense if Cort's ranking meant six riders in the U23 Road Race? Or is this just another example of the criteria for the amount of riders a nation gets in each race makes no sense at all?

What's the selection criteria?

Crack the top 200 in a Vuelta stage?

Are they really short of riders to select people obviously not in form?

that selection is more than fine. only carlos quintero is ridiculous. and they can't get domestic riders as they are doing the clasico rcn, one of the biggest races in colombia

He is behind Guardini on GC after 14 stages.

It is simply not credible that he will be able to improve to the point of being of use to the team within 3 weeks.

last year he was even worse at the vuelta and was still rather ok on the wc. certainly better than 80% of the field.

Colombian riders have some broken bones at the moment. Quintana, Henao and Atapuma.

I am more worried about what type of form is Uran going to be. He has always been our best hope now that Betancur has a fat a$$.

Cayenato Sarmiento is also hurt. He just had surgery and no news on where he is going after Cannondale merged.
I still think someone like Rubiano may be better

PS: Lopez is going to Astana next year. He will be in at the worlds, although for u23.
