Oh yeah, all that with Nairo having perfect preparation, no injuries, prep race, etc. while Berto comes off of an injury after which it wasnt even certain he will be able to ride the Vuelta.

This would be a bit bad for the race imo, not because he can win, but because without him Movistar can't play any real tactical games.

I can't see of any other reason why he'd ride such a strong TT when he is way down on GC and supposedly riding in support of Samu. Interesting to see how both Samu and Evans progress from here in the mountains. Also I note Uran confirming his TT form from the Giro.

I was wondering about the BMC bikes. I didn't expect neither rider to finish this high. Maybe Gesink should get one

We could also easily see Froome in 4th and Gesink in 6th, just like in 2012. Probably not Moreno in 5th, however.

Both are excellent bike riders so in a technical course as this, they are bound to perform well to some extent. And Evans has probably held back a couple of stages not and maybe tested himself today. But indeed great rides from both of them!

no way is vuelta over, not even for nairo, he can bounce back big time
also, looking at the way he recovered, samu sanchez can be a big danger for podium i think. i think froome will go worse and worse sadly

jens,this time you are not right.he cant bounce back in few days,he fell in some 60kmh,he said he hurt his ankle and knee,plus bruises etc. there is no way he will attack in coming stages.

Vertical hairline fracture in the center of the tibial plateau. Non-load-bearing area. 15 days off the bike.
